The piece is firmly attributed to the esteemed glassworks of Wilhelm Kralik Sohn, a premier manufacturer operating in Eleonorenhain, Bohemia, highly regarded by collectors for their avant-garde approaches to iridescent glass. This specific inkwell showcases Kralik’s sought-after "Bacillus" decor, distinguished by its raised, pulled glass trailing technique applied over an oil-spot iridescent ground in hues of peacock blue and emerald green. While frequently compared to Loetz, Kralik's threading exhibits a distinct, organic fluidity and a heavier application that makes their pieces readily identifiable to discerning collectors. A solid brass hinged lid, cast in an understated Jugendstil leaf form, anchors the piece, completing a remarkably preserved historic antiquity.

Specs
Maker/Artist: Wilhelm Kralik Sohn
Year Made: 1900
Materials: Iridescent Art Glass, Brass
Dimensions: 2.5" H x 4.25" W x 4.25" D

Condition
The glass body remains in excellent antique condition with no chips, cracks, or structural damage, while the metal collar and hinged lid retain a deep, unpolished patina with natural verdigris oxidation.
