The underside features a complete hand-incised signature: "DAVID" over "PH.", grounded by the "IXOYE" Ichthys (fish) symbol. The piece is crafted from a high-fire speckled stoneware, finished in a matte oatmeal glaze with dramatic, gestural brushwork in a vitrified iron-oxide umber. Designed with a heavy base and a narrow central aperture, it serves as a functional Ikebana container, intended to bring a sense of meditative "wabi-sabi" simplicity to a floral arrangement.

Specifications
• Maker/Artist: David Phelps (Signed "David PH." with IXOYE Fish)
• Year Made: Circa 1980s
• Materials: Speckled Stoneware, Iron Oxide Slip
• Dimensions: 2.5" H x 4.5" W x 4.5" D

Condition
Excellent vintage condition.
