Bauman, who has operated his studio in Indiana for decades, is celebrated for his "Bauman Blue" glazes and fluid, abstract slip-trailed designs. This vessel features a deep cobalt exterior that contrasts with a speckled stoneware interior, where bold white and teal lines are applied with a gestural, mid-century modern sensibility.

The bowl’s wide, shallow profile and unglazed foot—bearing Bauman’s distinctive brush-script signature—reflect the high-quality craftsmanship of contemporary American studio pottery. This piece is as much a collectible work of art as it is a functional serving dish.

Specifications
• Maker/Artist: John Bauman
• Year Made: circa 1990s
• Materials: Glazed Stoneware, Cobalt and White Slip
• Dimensions: 1.75" H x 8" W x 8" D

Condition
The bowl is in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing.
