The figure has a lean, elongated silhouette and is dressed in a metallic-bronze leopard print wrap with raw, frayed edges that give it an organic, lived-in feel.

The construction starts with a wire armature, which has been tightly bound in copper-toned textile fibers to create the textured look of the limbs. It’s finished with a deep mahogany-colored headwrap and mounted on a simple, heavy-duty black steel stand. Because of the Paverpol process, the fabric feels rock-hard to the touch despite looking like soft draped cloth. It’s a sturdy, well-made decorative piece that fits well in a space with a more global or eclectic vibe.

Specifications
• Maker/Artist: Studio-made (unsigned)
• Technique: Paverpol (Hardened Textile)
• Materials: Stiffened cotton and jersey fabrics, metallic pigments, wire armature, steel base.
• Dimensions: 15" H x 6.5" W x 7" D

Condition
Condition: The sculpture is structurally sound and the fabric is rock-hard. Please note that this piece has a matte, "found object" patina rather than a shiny, new finish; there is some light, integrated dust in the crevices of the fabric folds and headwrap that adds to its weathered, vintage character.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1029/1327/8133/files/p1_e5d0d7ca-baed-4bb3-b920-3636fb308c2d.jpg?v=1788581266
https://thegildedfossicker.com/products/seated-figure-in-leopard-print-15-paverpol-textile-sculpture-5af5a01b
