The piece is a sophisticated study in contrast, pairing a dense, fine-grained cedar body with a vibrant, highly figured burl lid. The tight, concentric growth rings of the cedar flow seamlessly into the low-profile "squat" silhouette, topped with a delicate, precision-turned onion finial.

The presence of a specific cataloging code (Y-BX) suggests this was part of a recorded series by a dedicated woodturner, likely a member of a regional woodturning guild. The interior is smoothly finished, and the aromatic quality of the wood remains intact, making it a functional yet sculptural object for a desk or vanity.

Specifications
• Maker/Artist: WK (Studio Marked Y-BX)
• Year Made: Mid-to-Late 20th Century (Est. based on style and patina)
• Materials: Cedar, Burl Wood
• Dimensions: 2.5" H x 3.5" W x 3.5" D

Condition
The vessel is in excellent vintage condition.
