Large Engraved Oval Locket - Vintage Silver Foliate Keepsake Pendant

Crafted in Thailand during the late 20th century, this substantial sterling silver locket carries the "C.T." maker's mark, indicative of the region's prolific and highly skilled silver trade. Thai silversmiths are renowned for their intricate metalwork, often exporting detailed, engraved pieces that quickly became cherished heirlooms. The heavy gauge of the silver, weighing in at a substantial 0.6 ounces, and the gold-washed interior elevate its status well beyond a standard manufactured keepsake, representing an era of intentional, lasting jewelry design.

A sweeping, hand-engraved foliate motif dances across the oval exterior, capturing light within the varied textures of the silver and highlighting a naturally aged patina. Opening the locket reveals a bright, gold-toned interior compartment, currently housing a vibrant red and white floral fabric remnant on one side. A sturdy, articulated bail anchors the piece, ready to be paired with a heavy silver chain or velvet ribbon.

Specs
• Maker/Artist: C.T.
