Mooney Original Framed Painting of St Davids Cathedral

An original 1985 architectural landscape by D. Mooney, capturing the historic St. David's Cathedral in Pembrokeshire, Wales. The provenance of this artwork is well-documented on the reverse, bearing a label that quotes Hymn 383 from The Hymnal 1982: "Fair are the meadows, fairer still the woodlands, robed in the blooming garb of spring." This specific inscription grounds the painting as a curated spiritual piece, directly tying the ancient Celtic Christian site to the historical Crusader's Hymn.

Executed in opaque acrylic or gouache, the artwork highlights the stone architecture of the cathedral tower set behind a foreground of spring daffodils. A heavy, deep-set gilt frame borders the painting, lending a traditional and elevated aesthetic highly sought after by collectors of regional religious art and historic British landscapes.

Specs
Maker/Artist: D.
