Originally starting as a mail-order company specializing in gourmet food gifts, they eventually established their own ceramic plant to produce the iconic "Country Store" jars and dinnerware that became staples of mid-century American kitchens. Their pottery is celebrated for its sturdy craftsmanship and nostalgic, floral designs that capture the essence of post-war Americana.

This specific set features the sought-after Wild Rose pattern. The House of Webster pieces from the Eastland plant are increasingly collectible due to their regional historical significance and the distinct "scalloped" mold work that defines their silhouettes. The integration of delicate floral decals with hand-applied gold leaf creates a sophisticated contrast against the creamy white glaze, making this set a quintessential example of Texas art pottery from the 1950s and 60s.

Condition Report
This set is in excellent vintage condition. The ceramic bodies are free of chips, cracks, or structural repairs. The floral decals remain vibrant with no significant fading. There is minor, age-appropriate thinning of the gold gilt on the raised scalloped edges and lid handles, which adds to its authentic vintage character. The interiors are clean and appear to have been used primarily for display.

The Specs
Pitcher: 6" Height x 5" Width (handle to spout)
Large Lidded Jar: 6.5" Height x 5" Diameter
Lidded Sugar Bowl: 4.5" Height x 5.5" Width (handle to handle)
Total Weight: Approx. 3 lbs 4 oz
Materials: Ceramic, Glaze, Gold Leaf
Year: Circa 1955
Maker: The House of Webster Ceramics

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1029/1327/8133/files/p1_0bf9fb9d-ec3c-4c84-adb9-d5a614fb6a27.jpg?v=1788581218
https://thegildedfossicker.com/products/vintage-house-of-webster-tea-set-wild-rose-motif-gold-gilt-hand-painted-pottery-ae641673
