Originating from Thailand between the 1940s and 1970s, items bearing the "Siam Sterling" hallmark were frequently acquired by visiting travelers and are now highly collectible artifacts of the era. The intricately chased silver depicts a dynamic scene from the Ramakien—the Thai epic based on the Ramayana—highlighting the iconic monkey deity, Hanuman, engaged with a celestial figure. Because the individual artisan is unknown, the value of this piece is deeply tied to the exceptional high-relief physical craftsmanship and the preservation of the mythological narrative it portrays. The hollow jacket is perfectly sized to accommodate a standard Zippo lighter insert, blending functional history with exquisite cultural artistry.

Specs:
Maker/Artist: Unknown (Stamped Siam Sterling)
Year Made: 1960s
Materials: Sterling Silver
Weight: 35 grams
Dimensions: 2.25" H x 1.5" W x 0.5" D

Condition:
This lighter case is in good vintage condition, presenting natural tarnish and a beautiful patina indicative of its age.
