Produced during the McKinley Tariff era (1891–1921), this set of six E-OH China dessert plates highlights the global expansion of early Japanese export porcelain. The distinctive green backstamp on the reverse indicates origin during a transformative period in international trade, just prior to the adoption of the standardized "Japan" export label. Delicate polychrome florals in shades of pink, blue, and red encircle the rim alongside a structured geometric border, while an inner ring of gold gilding anchors the center of the plate. The craftsmanship reflects the highly collectible artisan export work synonymous with early twentieth-century Nippon porcelain.
