C. Burleson Nestled In Bird Bronze Sculpture, Signed Edition 8/25

This little bronze bird group is Nestled In, signed C. Burleson and numbered 8/25 on its base plaque. Cindy Burleson is a sculptor who has worked in bronze with her husband and fellow sculptor Terry Burleson for fifty years. Their studio has created commissioned sculptures for public places across Texas and the Southeast, including libraries and civic buildings. In this smaller bird group, one bird settles close to the branch while others lift away, so the composition changes as you walk around it.

The dark round base gives the birds a steady footing and carries the title and edition number at the front. Its modest size invites a close look at the feather and branch modeling, especially where the birds’ different poses meet in one compact composition.
