This stoneware pitcher is a lovely find from Guanajuato, Mexico, a region world-famous for its pottery. It is hand-signed on the bottom and carries a lot of character from the artisan who made it. The design is a classic Mexican folk style, using a creamy base glaze topped with deep blues and greens that look great in a sunlit kitchen.
The pitcher has a sturdy, hand-thrown feel and a nice weight to it. The neck is decorated with a blue lattice pattern, and the body shows off large, colorful flowers that wrap around the sides. Small details, like the raised green dots near the rim, give it a nice texture that you only find in handmade pieces. Whether it is used for serving drinks or holding a fresh bouquet, it adds a warm, worldly touch to a table.
