Produced during the mid-to-late 20th century, this Chinese porcelain vessel displays a highly textured raised enamel technique. The tactile surface showcases heavily applied fencai-style enamels depicting grape clusters and birds in flight against a solid blue ground. While the base bears an apocryphal Qianlong reign mark, the piece is highly characteristic of the vibrant export wares produced in the 1960s and 1970s. Originally crafted as a covered ginger jar, the unglazed inner lip remains as a nod to its original form, allowing it to function easily as a standalone vase for interior styling.
