Hull Pottery made its Magnolia Matte line in Ohio in the 1940s, when its softly colored floral pottery became especially popular. This small, double-handled vase has the line’s raised magnolia blossoms and the gentle pink-to-blue matte finish that makes Hull pieces so recognizable.
At 5.5 inches high, it is a compact example rather than one of the larger Magnolia vases. The scalloped opening and curved handles give it a lively shape, while the muted glaze keeps it easy to display. It is a lovely piece for a small shelf or a collection of American art pottery.
Specifications
• Maker/Artist: Hull Pottery
• Year Made: Circa 1940s–1950s
• Materials: Matte-glazed ceramic
• Dimensions: 5.5 in. H × 4 in. W × 3 in. D

No cracks or crazing noted. A small, shallow flake sits on the edge of the base and is shown in the detail photograph; it is not visible when the vase stands upright.
