Royal Copenhagen's Blue Flower design dates to 1779, early in the Danish porcelain factory's history. In the Blue Flowers Braided version, hand-painted cobalt bouquets sit against raised braided porcelain, giving the traditional blue-and-white decoration a little extra texture. This coffee pot is form 10/8189, finished with a sculpted rose on the lid.

The original eighteenth-century design has been carried forward in this lovely later piece, made circa 1960–1980. The tall, narrow form makes an attractive display on its own, without needing a matching service.

Condition
