This unique piece of Pacific Northwest history is a Mount St. Helens art glass paperweight, dated 1990. Following the historic 1980 eruption, regional glass artisans began incorporating the actual volcanic ash into their glassmaking process, resulting in highly collectible pieces marked "MSH". This specific egg-shaped paperweight showcases an intricate pulled-feather pattern wrapping around a brilliant blue and teal dichroic glass core. Perfectly controlled bubbles are suspended in the clear outer layer, adding depth to the design. It is signed "MSH 90" on the polished base.
