This porcelain tea jar comes from Hangzhou, the home of the world-renowned West Lake Longjing tea. The jar is wrapped in a deep cobalt blue glaze, accented by traditional floral scrolls and a quiet landscape scene in the center. The blue calligraphy identifies its original purpose as a container for "Dragon Well" green tea, and the lid is finished with a simple, dark silk tassel. It’s a solid, well-made piece that works just as well for actual tea storage as it does sitting on a bookshelf.
